Rochester Building and Damp are a respected local family business, with owner Dan McLean having started in the timber and damp industry in 1987.
We provide a service for the homeowner, landlord and property developer.
Whether your property is currently in a state of disrepair, unsuitable for rent or sale; we can rectify the damp issue in record time and get your property on the market.
It’s Rochester Building and Damp policy to guarantee we get your property through the most stringent of surveys. All damp proofing or structural building works will be concealed to match surrounding decor, so the results are imperceptible to even the most keenest of eyes.
Rochester Building and Damp are currently formulating a campaign to launch in May 2020 (originally January). It is our intention to promote the use of traditional environmentally friendly products and materials in the building trade and DIY market. We believe reverting to materials once common in heritage housing.
Tenants now have the right to sue their landlords for cold or damp homes under new laws that have recently come into force.
If a landlord does not carry out necessary repairs or maintenance, the tenant will be able to take them to court where a judge can issue an injunction forcing the work to be undertaken.
