We have many years experience in major structural works, land drainage, rising damp treatment, penetrating damp treatment, timber treatment, basement/cellar tanking, storm damage, sea wall/ coastal defences repair, roofing, groundworks, plastering, brickwork, plumbing and electrics. In 2017 Rochester Building and Damp were awarded a an English Heritage Blue Plaque for the Local Support Restoration Project of The Gatehouse, a property of considerable historical significance. The Gatehouse was built in 1782 and was briefly the home of William and Dorothy Wordsworth from 1874 to 1877. There are many references to the The Gatehouse in Dickens journals of 1855 to 1856, which detail a number of extended sabbaticals in the company of several prominent clergy of the time. In 2022 Rochester Building and Damp are scheduled to undertake a major land drainage contract on the grounds of The Gatehouse.
